We provide comprehensive solutions for site assessment, remediation, and regulatory compliance.
At Ultra Technic Services, Inc. (UTS), we offer a comprehensive suite of environmental site assessment services to identify, evaluate, and mitigate potential environmental risks associated with a property. Our approach is systematic and in compliance with ASTM standards, ensuring the highest level of accuracy and reliability for our clients.
Our Phased Site Assessment Services:
1. Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA)
Our Phase I ESA is the initial step in assessing a property’s environmental condition. Conducted in accordance with ASTM E1527-97 standards, this assessment includes:
Historical Records Review: Examination of past uses of the property and adjacent sites to identify potential sources of contamination or environmental concerns.
Site Inspections: Comprehensive site inspections to visually identify potential environmental hazards such as storage tanks, waste disposal areas, or signs of chemical spills.
Regulatory Compliance Checks: Verification of any regulatory compliance issues and review of government records for any prior environmental violations, hazardous waste generation, or enforcement actions.
The goal of Phase I ESA is to identify any Recognized Environmental Conditions (RECs) that may warrant further investigation.
2. Phase II Environmental Site Assessment
If the Phase I ESA identifies RECs, we proceed with a Phase II ESA, which involves a more detailed investigation to confirm and characterize the presence of contaminants. This phase includes:
- Field Exploration: Use of advanced techniques such as test borings, cone penetrometer testing, and geo probing to investigate subsurface conditions.
- Soil, Groundwater, and Air Sampling: Collection and laboratory analysis of soil, groundwater, and air samples to determine the presence, concentration, and extent of contaminants.
- Combined Field Measurements: Integration of subsurface exploration with field measurements of physical and chemical properties to accurately assess the type and extent of contamination.
Phase II ESA provides critical data for evaluating environmental risks and supports the development of remediation strategies, if necessary.
3. Phase III Site Assessment and Remediation Design
Based on the findings of Phase II, our Phase III service focuses on developing and executing a tailored remediation plan to manage or eliminate identified environmental hazards. Key components include:
- Remediation Planning and Design: Development of a comprehensive remediation strategy, including the selection of appropriate technologies and methods for contaminant removal or containment.
- Regulatory Compliance and Permitting: Ensuring all remediation activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, and obtaining necessary permits for implementation.
- Implementation and Monitoring: Overseeing the execution of the remediation plan, including on-site management, continuous monitoring, and adjustment of the plan as needed to ensure effective remediation.
- Post-Remediation Verification: Conducting follow-up assessments and documentation to verify that the site meets all regulatory and safety standards.
Benefits of Our Site Assessment and Remediation Services:
- Thorough Evaluation: A multi-phase approach ensures that all potential environmental liabilities are identified, assessed, and addressed effectively.
- Regulatory Compliance: Our services ensure full compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, reducing legal risks and liabilities.
- Customized Remediation Solutions: We develop tailored remediation plans based on site-specific conditions, ensuring cost-effective and sustainable outcomes.
- Expert Team and Advanced Techniques: Our experienced team utilizes the latest field exploration and testing methods to deliver precise and reliable results.
